How Jamaica Customs charges work
Goods valued at US$100 or less (FOB, excluding freight and insurance) qualify for the de minimis duty and tax exemption. Above US$100, assessment uses the full cost, insurance and freight value, not just the amount over US$100.
Duty rates depend on the item. GCT, levies and administrative fees may also apply. Use the official calculator or an assessment from your broker for these charges.
Rules reviewed 12 September 2026. Final charges depend on Customs assessment.04 — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
